Your customers want character. They want to know who they are working with. While small businesses can show more creativity and personality, today larger companies can also show a little more personality. Your personality and creativity can all be unique selling points to your customers.

How is your business different from your competitors

Tell your customers how you are different from the rest or your competitors. They need to know why they should use your services rather than your competitors. Many business websites exclude this information becuase they have never thought about it. A simple paragraph about what maked you different is more to explain why someone should use your services or buy from you.

What does your company offer

Have you ever gone to a website and had no idea what the purpose of the website is? It happens way too often that companies don't describe their services or products thoroughly. If a potential customer doesn't see what they want, they aren't going to contact you to find the missing information. They will simple move on to the next website that has all the information they are looking for.

Contact information

This may seem like a nobrainer, but you would be suprised how many businesses don't include contact information. Including your address and phone number will help in building credibility and trust in your customers. Displaying your phone number and address will comfort a customer that your business is legitimate.

Third-party validation

Customer testimonials, client lists, case studies, awards, positive news clippings, etc. are all ways to let a customer know what your clients think of working with you. And your customers want to know others experience working with you. Any validation your company receives will hel your customers trust doing business with you and that they will have a good experience working with you.

Ease of use and navigation

A website that is not easy to navigate is useless. If a customer can't get to the information they are looking for, about your services or products, how can they possibly buy from you? Ease of navigation and a site search gives the customer the ability to get anywhere on your site and search for the information they are looking for.

Define your processes

Let your customers know, step-by-step, your processes. You want to let them know exactly how to place an order and what to do if there is an error. Include contact information about who to contact about their order status. Clearly defining your processes will let the customer know exactly what to expect and more the transaction go smoothly.
